The Douglas A-3 Skywarrior was designed as a strategic bomber for the United States Navy and was among the longest serving carrier-based aircraft in history. KA-3B bombers refitted in 1967 for the tanker role with probe-and-drogue system in place of bombing equipment. Kit features fine engraved panel lines, well-appointed 3-seat cockpit, detailed undercarriage and wheel wells, weapons bay interior, radar package, separately molded control surfaces, optional position slats and flaps, choice of extended or folded wings and vertical tail, refueling probe, single-piece canopy, vinyl tires and photo-etch parts.
